The chill of the small hours and  The faint heartbeat of traffic  Combining with the spiralling smoke  Promising new passions

Mean RedsYou know the  days when you  get the mean   
reds? When you  feel them rise  and seeth from   
some unknown  source? Perhaps  not unknown,   
but you see  my point, dear.  It's strange how   
we carry  on finding  ourselves here -   
Stuck in this  dance, so vile  yet so pure   
with no need  to worry  about the   
world and its  conventions -  we'll tear flesh   
and damage  egos all  the same.  
 
It's just a  game, that leaves  us in pain.

Hollow?hollow? no.  how can you be hollow when you're filled with rage?  how can you be hollow when you feel it bubble and seeth  beneath your skin, threatening to burst forth at the next push?   
hollow? no.  how can you be hollow when you're filled with sadness?  how can you be HOLLOW when you feel it EAT AWAY and  slowly devour all that you hold dear?   
hollow? no.  I'm anything but an empty shell  blowing on the trade winds  that span the oceans between  man and boy,  trying to reconcile the way I am  to the way I believe I should be -  but how can I know who I Hollow?
